For Beneficiaries of Estates
Beneficiaries sometimes seek independent legal advice to better understand their
rights and the estate administration process. I assist beneficiaries with
estate-related concerns, which may include:
- Executor Conduct and Estate Administration - Advice where
there are questions about how an executor is managing the estate, including
whether duties are being carried out appropriately.
- Review of Executor Accounts - Assistance reviewing executor
accounts and advising whether it may be appropriate to consent to the
accounting or raise concerns.
- Will Variation and Inheritance Issues - Guidance for spouses
and children considering whether a will makes adequate provision for them
under British Columbia law, including advice on negotiation, potential claims,
and available options.
My role is to help beneficiaries understand their legal position, assess available
options, and determine appropriate next steps based on their individual
circumstances.
