For Individuals Involved in Estate Disputes

Guidance on estate disputes and related court proceedings

Estate Disputes & Related Court Applications

I assist clients with estate-related disputes and court applications, which may include:

  • Issues relating to the validity, interpretation, or effect of a will
  • Disputes between beneficiaries and executors
  • Issues relating to lifetime gifts, transfers, or joint ownership
  • Issues involving the use or misuse of powers of attorney or representation agreements
  • Disputes involving real property or other estate-related interests

My role is to provide legal guidance on rights, risks, and available options based on the circumstances of the matter.

Committeeship & Adult Guardianship Matters

Where an adult has lost capacity and effective planning documents are not in place, court involvement may be required. I assist clients with committeeship and adult guardianship matters, which may include:

  • Assistance with the court process for being appointed as committee
  • Assistance with responding to or disputing competing requests for committee appointment
  • Addressing issues of suitability, conflicts of interest, or potential risk to the adult
  • Guidance on evidentiary and procedural requirements

I provide legal guidance throughout the process so that matters may be addressed in accordance with applicable law.
